Christmas 2019

We welcome our new Pastor, Jim Duncan and wife Jen

On Sept. 21, 2019 we celebrated our very special members who are in the “over 70s” club with a delicious dinner and 50s musical trivia/BINGO game. What a blessing to know these people who know our history and traditions and who are always willing to help out whenever they can.  Yes, we need youth…but we need age as well!

Nate Wetzel spoke on Sept. 8, 2019 about his experience with the Orlando Project this past summer. Nate was working in the day and receiving training in evangelism and Bible study. We are so proud of this young man!

During children’s time Sept. 8,  Jennifer is teaching Maci and Sophia about dominoes. As you line them up closely together, you can touch one and the others are affected. It is the idea of “each one can reach one” What a great lesson on how just one person can reach another person, who, in turn, reaches another to share the Good News of Jesus and all that He does for us daily!

What a fun evening we had Sunday, August 18 at our church pavilion! We enjoyed food, ice cream, fellowship and some great music from Homemade Jam!

On May 26, 2019 we honored Pastor David and Treila Krueger on his final Sunday before retirement. We welcomed family, friends and former Concordia United Church of Christ members. After a wonderful and emotional worship service, a retirement reception was held in the church Fellowship Hall. Thank you to all who had any part in this special day!

A luncheon following worship on May 19, 2019 was held to benefit a mission trip planned by Nate Wetzel. Nate will be living and working in Orlando, FL this summer and be part of a team providing Bible study and mission work. Thank you to all who gave so generously. Nate will be sharing his experience during a future service.

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter Sunday as a church family including breakfast, Easter egg hunt, worship and communion.

On March 24, 2019 the congregation showed support for Jessie Bremer Konemann and family with JessieStrong Day! Jessie shared her testimony regarding her health struggles and her message of hope and her faith in God and His plan. Many of those attending were wearing their blue #jessiestrong t shirts. All proceeds from the purchase of these shirts has been donated to the American Heart Association. If you would like to purchase a shirt, you can contact Zion Church for information.
